Geoscene: Outreach & Education

Maps, rocks, landscapes, seascapes, railways, old mines: these topics hold a great fascination with people of all age groups, and have been part of geoscene.ie schools outreach programme since 2004.

As well as providing outreach schools visits in primary and secondary schools, Ronan has coordinated adult and community evening and weekend courses in topics such as geology, geodiveristy, Internet maps, Google Earth, and even the Irish Farmhouse Cheese landscapes.

As the Geopark Geologist with the Burren & Cliffs of Moher European Geopark from 2009 to 2011, Ronan helped to develop a range of geo-education resources. For more information see www.geoneed.org
